Abstract Guidelines


Abstract topics

The topics of interest at ASVS 2016 include but are not limited to the following:

  • Peripheral Arterial Occlusive Disease
  • AAA & TAA & Aortic dissection
  • Peripheral Aneurysms
  • Carotid Artery Stenosis
  • Venous Thromboembolism
  • Varicose Vein & CVI
  • Vascular Trauma
  • Vascular Access for Hemodialysis
  • Diabetic Foot Ulcer
  • Others

Important Notes

  • Deadline for submission of abstract: 30 July, 2016
  • Notification of acceptance will be sent to presenters by 30 August, 2016
  • All presenters must register as a paid delegate. Your presentation will not be included in the final program if you fail to do so

Oral and Poster Presentation Awards

Abstract submitters have to indicate whether they wish their abstract to be included in the Best Paper Award competition. The top abstracts will be selected by the Scientific Committee for their outstanding quality and scientific value, and will receive an award during the event.

General Policies

  • Originality: The abstract submitted must be of an original scientific nature and has not been previously published in whole or part by any journal or publication
  • Number for submission: Authors can submit more than one paper
  • Language: English is the official language and will be adopted in all the abstract submissions, publications and presentations
  • Acknowledgement of Receipt: Upon submission, authors will receive a confirmation by email. Otherwise, please contact the Congress Secretariat
  • Mode of Presentation: The Organizing Committee reserves the right to select and assign the abstracts relevant to the sessions for oral or poster presentation
  • Notification of Acceptance: Authors will be notified if their abstract has been accepted in 30 June 2016, if not prior

Abstract Format

  • Word Limit: The main text of the abstracts cannot exceed 300 words
  • Title: Abstract title must be in Initial Capital / lower case, e.g. Regional symposium of the international society for affective disorders. The title should be brief and descriptive
  • Author Information: Author and co-author names, institutions, cities and countries are to be typed in appropriate boxes. Please include family / last name and initials of author(s) and do NOT include degrees or professional titles (Dr, PhD, Prof, MD, etc.)
  • Content: Each abstract must contain sufficient details for evaluation. Make the abstract as informative as possible. Clearly indicate the aims and conclusions supported by data. Results stated in the abstracts must be complete (though concise) and final. Organize the body of the abstract as follows: (a) background and objectives, (b) methods, (c) results, (d) conclusions. Use standard abbreviations and generic drug names. Place unusual abbreviations or acronyms in parentheses after first use
